Understanding the Difference: HD vs Airbrush
One of the most common questions brides ask us at The Makeup Wala is: What is the difference between HD Makeup and Airbrush Makeup? Both techniques are highly popular for weddings, but they serve different purposes depending on your skin type.
HD Makeup (High Definition)
HD makeup uses high-end products that contain light-scattering ingredients. It is applied manually using blenders and brushes. This type of makeup is designed to look flawless on 4K and HD cameras, hiding blemishes perfectly while maintaining a natural, skin-like finish.
Airbrush Makeup
Airbrush makeup is sprayed onto the face using a specialized compressor. It creates a very fine, even layer of makeup. It is extremely long-lasting and water-resistant, making it perfect for summer weddings or brides with oily skin.
Which one is better? If you have dry skin or severe acne, HD makeup is usually better as it doesn’t emphasize dry patches. For oily skin and a lightweight feel, Airbrush is the winner!
